Strong emphasis on new business development to grow the middle market commercial loan portfolio. Columbus is a growth market for this $10 billion asset bank.A wide open market for success for a quality lender who will have the full resources of the $10 billion bank to support them. Expected to grow revenue by successfully prospecting for new business and retaining and expanding existing customer relationships with a focus on middle market commercial clients. Also expected to collaborate with regional/market based credit officer in write-up and submission of loan proposal for approval, including video conference presentation to executive loan committee. Responsibilities also include appropriate portfolio management responsibility to ensure high credit quality standards are maintained. Position expected to facilitate sales referrals to business partners (Trust, Insurance, Treasury Management, Retail, Securities, Residential Lending, etc).
Five to ten years (or more) commercial banking experience with strong lending experience.
Strong financial analysis, credit/risk underwriting and decision making skills.
Demonstrated business development experience with history of proven sales achievement. The right individual could certainly be classified as an "up and comer" but must have commercial customer calling experience and success.
Must possess developed oral and written skills to communicate internally with peers and team members and externally with clients, prospects and centers of influence in a positive manner, portraying respect and professionalism.

Strong analysis skills to evaluate financial statements, tax returns, customer profiles and business relationships to support the needs of existing and prospective customers. Able to conduct sufficient financial analysis of proposed transactions and requests from customers to screen those transactions presented for high probability of approval success.
